T-Bone Breaks Out!

In our first installment of the PWAwrestling.ca Fan Feedback, we expected a spirited debate over the question: Who has been the breakout star for PWA in 2009?

But there was no debate in the minds of you, the PWA fans, who almost unanimously voted “T-Bone” Jack Sloan as a man who used 2009 to burst into the limelight and cement his place among the top performers in the PWA.

“How couldn’t it be T-Bone?” PWA fan ‘gibble’ wrote, “from a kid you wouldn’t blink at…to one of the best characters PWA has.”

PWA fan ‘sonnyjames’ voiced his agreement, “As far as breakout…I have to say T-Bone without a doubt. Future PWA heavyweight champ!”

PWA analyst Neil Corson weighed in with his views on Sloan.

“Certainly there is no other superstar in my mind that made his case to be considered one of the top talents in PWA better than Jack Sloan,” Corson said.

“He’s had a phenomenal year and really given the fans reason to take notice.”

Sloan did reach new heights in his PWA career this year, holding the PWA Cruiserweight Championship and running roughshod over the division before finally being unseated by Chucky Blaze. The Corner Brook, Newfoundland product also made a serious run at Tiger Singh’s Heavyweight Title, which would have made him the first man to hold both titles in a single year.

With all this momentum and experience, PWA fans wouldn’t be out of line to expect big things from “T-Bone” Jack Sloan, your pick for the breakout star of 2009!
